Our business revolves around celebrations and the happiest times of your life. During the current uncertain times many questions and concerns arise, and we are all working through this one day at a time. We will be adhering to the State/County guidelines and recommended precautions as things progress.  

Even though we are not out on-site at events or going into our office much these days, we are still busy working from home thanks to all of our AMAZING couples! We've always said this, but we seriously have the best clients. Thanks to you for postponing instead of cancelling, you're keeping us going and we are forever grateful.

If you are a current client, we've most likely already spoken, and we just want to reiterate that we are here for you and our commitment to you remains the same!

Staying home probably has you cooking (and maybe baking) more. Here are a few of the recipes we've been cookin' up!


Jules: Chicken Adobo...if you know, you know. Being half Filipino this was a staple in my home growing up. Every family has a different take on the recipe, and everyone's Lola (Grandma) makes it the best, but obviously none better than mine ;) This is my comfort food, and now more than ever I rely on it to bring me a little comfort, hope it does for you too.  


Here is my family's recipe:



  • Chicken, bone-in with skin (this is important, don't get boneless/skinless!).

Since I'm a lazy cooker, I prefer to get already cut chicken: 2 breasts, 4 legs, 4 thighs

  • 5-7 bay leaves

  • 6ish cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp whole peppercorns

  • 3/4 cup soy sauce

  • 3/4 cup distilled white vinegar

  • Water (to sauce level)



  1. Rinse the chicken and & pat dry, add to stock pot

  2. Add bay leaves, minced garlic, and peppercorns to stock pot

  3. Combine soy sauce and vinegar together in a separate container, pour into stock pot

  4. Add a little water if needed, sauce level should almost cover chicken

  5. Bring to a boil

  6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer on med-low for 1.5 hours

  7. Serve over white rice (Jasmine is my favorite!)

Steph: I am self-admittedly NOT a morning person, so pre-quarantine breakfast was usually on the go and not much thought went into it. I have really enjoyed having more time and energy to cook and prepare some amazing dishes, so I wanted to share this Peanut Butter Chia Overnight Oats recipe that I found because well, I'm still not a morning person and am pretty obsessed with it! I have started to mix it up and top it off with blueberries and raspberries, so have fun with it:



  • 3/4 cup rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • pinch of sea salt

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any plant milk)

  • 1/2 cup filtered water

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed (but leave a few banana coins for topping!)

  • 2 tablespoons PB Fit powder + 1 1/2 tablespoons water (or any nut butter, to taste)

I've been using good ol' creamy peanut butter!

  • 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave, for extra sweetness

I do this instead of the vanilla extract



  1. Add oats, chia seeds, cinnamon and sea salt to a mason jar and mix well. 
Add in almond milk, water, vanilla and mashed banana. Stir until combined.

  2. In a small bowl, mix PB powder with water, until creamy. You can double the ingredients for extra peanut butter-y flavor! Stir “peanut butter” mixture into mason jar.
 You can add toppings now or in the morning!

  3. Refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.
 Dig in with a spoon and enjoy!


**This is noted as one serving, but for me, it was enough for two servings.

After a romantic, home-cooked dinner, spend the evening taking a (virtual) tour through the Louvre! Here is a list of all the museums, zoos and theme parks that have virtual tours -- worldwide!


At home Paint Nite via Yaymaker.  

Pour a drink, grab a snack, and get creative!

Create a wine or beer tasting!  Order a wide range of varieties of wine or beer and try some new things!  Whip up a charcuterie board, take notes and discuss your favorites.  Remember to spend quality time together, so keep your phones away (after you take pics of your set up of course!).
